SRHU launches GEET Infosys project to ‘Enhance Employability Skills’
Swami Rama Himalayan University (SRHU) took a significant step towards enhancing employability and bridging the skill gap by collaborating with Learnet Skills Ltd. to launch the Graduate Employability Enhancement Training (GEET) Infosys Project. The initiative was formalized through the signing of an MoU at a ceremony held on 17th January 2025, at the University's Jolly Grant campus.
The project is designed to provide a 90-hour comprehensive training program aimed at equipping students with industry-relevant skills. The program will help participants gain practical insights and prepare them for job opportunities, thereby empowering them to kickstart their professional careers. The initiative aligns with SRHU’s commitment to fostering skill development and supporting employment growth.
The launch event was attended by several prominent dignitaries, including Dr. Rajendra Dobhal, Vice Chancellor, SRHU; Dr. Vijendra Chauhan, Director General (Academic Development), SRHU; and Dr. Mukesh Bijlwan, Registrar, SRHU. Key representatives from Learnet Skills Ltd. included Mr. Ramesh Petwal, Regional Head, Uttarakhand; Mr. Sanjeev Binjola, Center Head, Jolly Grant; along with other esteemed officials.
The GEET Infosys Project reflects the shared vision of SRHU and Learnet Skills Ltd. to address the evolving demands of the job market. By integrating practical training with academic learning, the initiative aims to create a workforce ready to contribute effectively to various industries.
