Entrance Examination for admission to 145 seats of B.Sc Nursing held at Himalayan College of Nursing

Results will be declared on June 24, first counseling on July 03

Himalayan College of Nursing (HCN), Jollygrant concluded the entrance exam for B.Sc Nursing. The entrance exam was conducted for 145 seats of B.Sc Nursing.

Principal Dr. Sanchita Pugazhendi informed that Himalayan College of Nursing (HCN) Jollygrant conducted B.Sc Nursing Entrance Exam-2023. Hundreds of candidates had registered for the entrance exam.

Tremendous enthusiasm was seen amongst the candidates for the entrance examination. Strict security arrangements were made by the university administration in the Himalayan College of Nursing to make the entrance examination full proof, fair and cheating-free.

Principal Dr. Sanchita Pugazhendi said that the result of the entrance examination would be declared on coming June 24.

The process of counseling for admission will be started on the basis of examination results on July 3 and 4.

Swami Ram Himalayan University (SRHU) Inter College Nursing Volleyball Tournament-2023 came to a scintillating end on Wednesday 7th June.

State College of Nursing bagged the trophy in the women's category, while Sridevbhoomi emerged winner in the men's category.

SRHU Chancellor Dr. Vijay Dhasmana awarded the winners and congratulated the winners for a wonderful show of sportsmanship.

Wednesday was the last day of the three-day Inter College Nursing Volleyball Tournament-2023 organized at SRHU Jollygrant. In the women's category, the final was played between AIIMS Rishikesh and State College of Nursing. The first set was closely fought. AIIMS team won the first set by 21-18. But, the State College of Nursing team did not give up and came back brilliantly in the match to win the second set by 21-16.

The third set was decisive; State College of Nursing won this set also by 15-11 and won the title.

The final match in the men's category was played between Himalayan College of Nursing and Sridevbhoomi Nursing College. In this, Sridevbhoomi won the match by winning two consecutive sets by 21-12, 21-16.

SRHU Sports Committee Chairperson Dr. Vineet Mehrotra said that 22 teams from 13 nursing colleges of Uttarakhand participated in the tournament.

Inter College Nursing Volleyball Tournament begins at SRHU Jollygrant

Swami Ram Himalayan University (SRHU) is organizing Inter College Nursing Volleyball Tournament-2023 at Jollygrant. In this, 22 teams from 13 Nursing Colleges are participating.

The Inter College Nursing Volleyball Tournament-2023 started on Monday. The participating teams include - Himalayan College of Nursing, State College of Nursing, Arihant College of Nursing, Shri Swami Bhumanand Nursing College, Giani Inder Singh Nursing College, Devbhoomi Uttarakhand, Graphic Nursing College, SGRR Nursing College, Siddharth Nursing College, Chinmaya Advance Research Institute and Sri Devbhoomi.

22 teams from 13 colleges including AIIMS Nursing College, Sai College of Nursing are participating.

There are 14 teams in the men's category and 8 in the women's category in the tournament.

Vice Chancellor Dr. Vijendra Chauhan; Director of Nursing Dr. Renu Dhasmana; Principal Dr. Sanchita Pugajandi jointly inaugurated the three-day volleyball tournament.

The first match of the tournament was played between State College of Nursing and Arihant College of Nursing in the men's section.

The State College of Nursing won a well fought match.

Apart from this, Shri Swami Bhumanand Nursing College, Devbhoomi Uttarakhand, Graphic Nursing College, Chinmaya Advance Research Institute, Sridevbhoomi won their respective matches.

State College of Nursing, AIIMS and SGRR won in the women's category.

SRHU Sports Committee Chairperson Dr. Vineet Mehrotra said that the title match of the tournament will be played on Wednesday, June 7.

Chancellor Dr. Vijay Dhasmana will honor the winning players by giving them awards.

Kushna Uniyal, Chandan, Sachin, Krishna Mohan, Sachin, Badal, Niyant, Naveen, Shubham, Bipin, Suresh, Akash Thapilyal etc contributed in the conduct of the tournament.

Nurses' Week Celebrated at Himalayan Hospital with fervor

The Nurses' Week Celebration culminated with the valedictory function today at Himalayan Hospital. For three days a program titled "Our Nurses Our Future" was organised jointly by the Fundamentals of Nursing Department and the Students Nurses' Association.

Ram Kumar, Registrar, Uttarakhand Nursing Council graced the occasion with his presence as chief guest. He encouraged the nurses of Uttarakhand with his motivating message and urged them to set an example with their dedication and hard work. He also emphasised the need to promote nursing as a profession in Uttarakhand.

On this occasion Dr. Sanchita Pughazendi, Principal Himalayan School of Nursing & chairperson of the event; Dr. Kathy, nursing advisor; Dr. Harleen Kaur, HOD, Fundamentals of Nursing Dept & Organizing Secretary; Priya JP Narayan, (SNA Advisor & joint secretary) of the event were present.

Various competitions were organised for the students and winners were given prizes. The program was successfully carried out by the executive members of Students Nurses' Association under the supervision of faculty members Amrita Swaroop, Suman Lata, Vipin Kalura, Sona Singh and Suresh Chandra. The program was compered by Alka & Lumbini (SNA executive member) and it ended with the vote of thanks by Dr. Rajesh Kumar Sharma.
