A state-of-the-art surgical unit of Critical Care Medicine ICU inaugurated at Himalayan Hospital, Jolly Grant, Dehradun.

On November 28, 2024, Dr. Vijay Dhasmana, President of Swami Rama Himalayan University, inaugurated a fully equipped 14-bedded Surgical Unit of Critical Care Medicine (CCM) ICU at Himalayan Hospital, marking a significant milestone in the hospital's healthcare infrastructure. A distinguished gathering of medical professionals and guests were in attendance.

Dr. Vijendra Chauhan, Dr. Ashok Deorari, Dr. Hem Chandra, Dr. Rajesh Maheshwari, and Brigadier R. S. Saini graced the occasion as special guests. Dr. Dhasmana was joined by Dr. Sonika Agarwal, Head of the Department (HoD) of Critical Care Medicine, along with other distinguished guests, in unveiling the new unit.
The event saw the participation of key medical staff, including Dr. Gurjeet Khurana (HoD Anesthesia), Dr. Nand Kishore, Dr. Sonu Sama, Dr. Amit Kumar Lall, Dr. Ashish Semalti, Dr. Anil Juyal and other specialists from various departments, as well as members of the nursing and engineering teams at Himalayan Hospital. Following the inauguration, Dr. Dhasmana toured the newly launched ICU, where he emphasized the importance of patient and attendant counseling during critical care and the prudent use of advanced medical technology and equipment. He reiterated the Himalayan Hospital's commitment to providing best-in-class quality care.

This new facility is poised to enhance the Himalayan Hospital's capacity to provide advanced critical care services.
