Continuous Nursing Education ( CNE ) programme conducted at HIMS
One day critical care nursing (CNE) continuous nursing education programme was conducted by department of critical care medicine HIMS SRHU in collaboration with Dehradun branch of ISCCM, which was conducted on 9th Nov in Adi Kailash auditorium and Skill lab of SRHU. SRHU, President Dr. Vijay Dhasmana spoke on the importance of counselling of patient in ICU & empowering ICU nurse as advocate of patient. Vice Chancellor Dr. Rajendra Dobhal specified the importance of ICU nurses and their role in preventing ICU acquired infection.
Organizing Chairman Dr. Sonika Aggarwal sensitized the audience regarding concept of critical care. Dr. Saurabh spoke on Oxygen therapy, Dr. Nand Kishore spoke on importance of I-V fluids, Dr. Veena spoke on arterial blood gas analysis, Dr. Garima Mittal spoke on prevention of ICU acquired infection. Dr. Chandra Mohan spoke on arrhythmias in ICU and Dr. Amit Lal spoke on role of nutrition in ICU. Ranjana Kaintura, Priyanka Uniyal, Prachi, Drishti, Halima Khatoon NPCC assistant professor brief on mechanical ventilation, air way and hemodynamic monitoring around 80 to 100 participants nurses got trained in this CNE from within and outside SRHU and from other states. The CNE was followed by facilitation of speakers and chairpersons and certificate distribution. This CNE was accredited with 5 CNE credit hours from nursing council.
