SRHU and the PHD Chamber of Commerce of India (PHDCCI) signed an important MoU aimed at fostering collaboration and innovation.

Today, an important Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Swami Rama Himalayan University (SRHU) and the PHD Chamber of Commerce of India (PHDCCI) at SRHU. The signing ceremony was graced by esteemed dignitaries from both institutions.

Representing SRHU were Dr. Rajendra Dobhal, Vice-Chancellor; Dr. Vijendra D. Chauhan, Director General (Academic Development); Dr. Mukesh Bijalwan, Registrar, Dr. Bindu Dey, Director Research; and Dr. Apoorv Trivedi, HSMS.

From PHDCCI, the event was attended by Dr. Ranjit Mehta, Executive Director, Dr. Jatinder Singh, Assistant Secretary General; Mr. Hemant Kumar, Chairman of PHDCCI Uttarakhand Chapter; Mr. Rajiv Ghai, Co-chair of PHDCCI Uttarakhand Chapter; and Mr. Vishal Kala, Resident Director of PHDCCI Uttarakhand Chapter.

During the meeting, Dr. Dobhal and Dr. Mehta emphasized the importance of aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 2030, proposing collaborative efforts between SRHU and PHDCCI in the field of Carbon Credit. Plans for establishing a Carbon Credit Center on the SRHU campus were discussed for the near future.

Dr. Vijendra D Chauhan highlighted the potential benefits of ongoing collaboration with PHDCCI, suggesting that SRHU can contribute inputs to industry, commerce, trade, and technology-related reports generated by PHDCCI, thus benefiting SRHU's students and faculty.

Additionally, all members agreed on potential collaborations, including hosting junctions of the ongoing IPR Yatra by PHDCCI at SRHU. The IPR Yatra aims to raise awareness about Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) among students, entrepreneurs, and the public. All the experts present also reiterated on bridging industry-academic skill gaps and exposing students to cutting-edge industry trends.

This MoU signifies a promising partnership between SRHU and PHDCCI, fostering opportunities for knowledge exchange, research collaborations, and initiatives that contribute to academic and economic development.

This collaboration marks a significant milestone for both institutions and sets the stage for impactful initiatives in the areas of academia, industry, and sustainable development.
