SRHU conducts Health check-up under TB Eradication Program
Nikshay Poshan Yojna patients handed over nutrition kits

Swami Rama Himalayan University, Jolly Grant, with the Help of AAS organization provided essential food Kit to about 94 Nikshay Mitra (patients) suffering from Tuberculosis (TB) in SPS Hospital Rishikesh.

Pulses, Semolina, Eggs, Peanuts, Milk etc. items were included in the food kit. The team of Rural Development Institute, Community Medicine Department of SRHU, and the Department of Chest and Respiratory Diseases of Himalayan Hospital Jolly Grant conducted a health check-up for tuberculosis (TB) patients.

Dr. Chandola (Chief Medical Superintendent) & Hemlata Bahan (Aas Sewa Sanstha) with TB champions team were present in the programme. The health check-up was done by Dr. Anil Bisht from the Department of Community Medicine. Every Saturday from last June 2023, The Institute is providing food kit and health Check-up services to the selected Ni-kshay Mitras {600 TB patients} in Doiwala, Rishikesh (Dehradun) and Bahadarabad (Haridwar) under Comprehensive package of Service - TB Eradication program.

The program was coordinated by Neelam Pandey & Leela Uniyal supported it at the RDI end.
