Workshop on Exploring AI using IBM Watson: A Report
A one-day national workshop on ‘Exploring AI using IBM Watson' was organized by the Himalayan School of Science and Technology (HSST) at Swami Rama Himalayan University (SRHU), Jolly Grant. The objective of the workshop was to empower students with hands-on experience and ethical insights to unleash the transformative potential of AI through IBM Watson technology.
The workshop featured Dr. Mayank Aggarwal, Head of the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at Gurukul Kangri University, as the keynote speaker. Throughout the workshop, Dr. Aggarwal provided invaluable insights into AI's significant contributions, focusing on IBM's Watson technology as a cornerstone of innovation and progress in the evolving technological landscape.
The event was graced by distinguished guests including Dr. Vijendra D. Chauhan, Director General (Academic Development) SRHU, and Dr. Pramod Kumar, Principal of HSST, along with senior professors, faculty members, and students from all programs. Dr. Vijendra D. Chauhan discussed the profound impact of artificial intelligence in today's digital era, highlighting avenues for student contributions in developing AI-powered tools, smart healthcare systems, and data analytics for improved patient outcomes. Dr. Pramod Kumar, as the Principal of HSST, emphasized limitless innovation and the importance of embracing new technologies to navigate future challenges.
