Prime Minister Kaushal Vikash Yojna 2.0 (PMKVY-2.0)
Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana - PMKVY-2.0 is the flagship, outcome-based, Skill Training Scheme of the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE). The scheme aims to benefit more than 10 million youth over the period 2016- 2020 and promote skill development throughout the country. This Scheme enables & mobilizes youth to take up industry designed skill training, become employable and earn their livelihood. Under PMKVY, the entire training and assessment fees are paid by the Government.
Short Term Training:
The Training imparted at the center benefits candidates who are either school/college dropouts or otherwise unemployed. NSDC approved curriculum for respective Qualification Packs (QPs) are used for training which is according to the National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF). In addition, the center also imparts training in Soft Skills, Entrepreneurship, Financial and Digital Literacy, however duration of the training varies as per job role. Placement assistance is provided on successful completion of the assessment.
Trainings imparted under the Short Term Training component of the Scheme is NSQF Level 5 and below.
