The curriculum is as per the National Council of Vocational Training (NCVT) approved Module-5. The Programme is fully residential and is provided free of cost, including boarding and lodging.

During first two months of the Suryamitra program, students make at least three visits to medium / large industry and one visit to 33 KV substation to further improve their knowledge and understanding on power transmission, distribution, loads, cabling etc.

The students will get to know the basics of Electricity & Solar Electricity, operate & maintain Solar Systems, plan & install Solar PV Electrical System, test and commission Solar plants, check all equipment and parts for safety, etc.

Employment

Institute will assist in the placement of the “Suryamitras” by inviting solar industries, EPC companies, marketing companies, large contractors working with Transco, Discoms etc. A large number of students are likely to be provided employment at the end of the program.

Seats Presently, 30 seats for each batch.

Duration The duration of the program is 600 hrs (approx. 90 days).

Eligibility Criteria 10th pass and ITI in Electrician /Wireman/Electronics. Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical and Electronics branches.

(Note: The Engineering Graduates and persons with other higher qualification are not eligible to apply) Age Limit:18-35 years.
